SPEC: Plicata Origin (was Kupari)

Lowell,

Dykes in The Genus Iris treats "I. plicata" (Lamarck, 1789), which is the
eponym for this pattern, as a mutant form of I. pallida or a pallida
hybrid. He further identifies the very old diploid plicata, SWERTI, as a
mutant color variant of I. cengialti (but is not cengialti currently
considerd to be a synonym for pallida?).
