The colors and pattern of Bold Statement seem to me to be remarkably
similar to those of the border bearded Tink.

I sent a question about Bold Statement to Rick and Roger at
Superstition,
and they answered back saying that they were shooting for yellow amoena
IB's.  That's mostly what they got, but this one was there among them,
and
they offered it because of the unusual coloration.

I fell in love with it when I saw a photo, and am ordering it this year,
but then as you all are probably figuring out, I like the old fashioned
ones, and Bold Statement has a bit of an old fashioned form.  The
coloration is out of this world though.

Does anyone know of any other near pure blue/purple over yellow
cultivars?
