Rosalie,
     I cannot recall who the announcer was, but I am under the impression he 
was reading the announcements, and encountered a typo.  He was not in the 
Society, and may not have known what an Iris is.
     Thinking Irises, I see that my Virginicas are waking up.  I wonder if 
anyone has ever used Osmocote on those?
