I have another article here of notworthy attention.
Jean Witt "A Heretic Looks at Plicata : A view from the Diploid Level" BAIS January 1971 pp39-50
She was quite convinced that yellow plicatas exsisted. That is yellow pigment distributed in same pattern as anthocyanin on plicata flowers.
In addition she suggested that there was two zones to look at . The center of the falls ( the area that Henderson called the "Variegata-pattern" ) and the rest of the flower.
Now look at the pictures of Time Will Tell, Ring Around Rosie and Serious Notion on front cover of Cooley's catalogue 2004. Remove one layer of antocyanin from TWT and you
have RAR. Remove one more layer of anthocyanin and you have Serious Notion. Certinly supportive of Dr. Henderson's proposal
In addition to the yellow plicata Serious notion Cooleys also havChampagne Time and Lemon Dew which are yellow on plicata pattern and they list/picture them on their plivcata page along ith RAR and several tan plicatas .
