Interesting.

Are the eggs laid on live foliage or dead?  Somehow, I'd gotten the idea
that they were on the dead foliage.

Last year was my first to see borers here - I got a propane torch to
burn off foliage, but had been planning on going after the dead stuff,
not the green leaves
