Got a Samsung ML-1740 Monochrome laser printer on sale at Circuit City
for $110, after mail in rebate .

Works great, & spits out pages at twice the speed of my old printer,
which I always considered pretty fast on draft mode.

Thanks everybody for all the suggestions and tips.
