Set the trap and then put it in the flower bed UPSIDE DOWN. When t he cat steps on the trap - - - - it goes off and there is one frightened kitty!!!!!!

I disagree, I would be afraid that the trap might break a paw.

I think a scattering of chicken manure fertilizer will keep them away (and be good for the irises)
