Thought I would make this report just in case some were wondering about our
speaker and the family health problems mentioned last week. Everette was our
speaker. He flew in from FL where his wife is undergoing cancer treatment
at the Mayo clinic. Wish the Lineberger family a steady and complete
recovery.
From my perspective, the pot luck was a success! My streak (years) of bad
luck at Iris Bingo was finally broken! I won! I won! Twice! I must admit I
had to have help! <vbg> While I was off talking, a very nice new iris
friend 'played' my card! Thanks again!
Potted irises make up the bulk of rewards. I gave one away and traded
another. Being totally nuts, I traded for a new SDB that I already own! Just
wanted more! Something I want to play bee with!
As always, it was great to see iris friends and meet new iris people, both
'newbies' and 'oldies.' Refreshing weekend.
