HYB:Rebloomers
This is to those working on cold weather rebloomers!?
Please introduce the things you produce that are pretty but don't meet your requirements of rebloom!? The genes are there, and the just might rebloom in other areas.? They can be used by others to pursue the dream.? Please!?
Gilded Cream was one of my first introductions.? It is a great garden iris but never rebloomed for me.??I fall in love with it again each spring.? Such a bright spot in the garden.? It does rebloom in parts of California.
Memphis Miss doesn't rebloom but it's a lovely iris and my first HM.?
Sincerely Yours gave rebloom when crossed by Star Gate.?
For those that don't hybridize . . . please join the fun!? Save a small patch of garden and plant a few rebloom seeds!? Of course, you have to make that cross first.? Or have Loic send some!?
Monty Byer's catalog had this line: "If I could only grow 10 iris, I'd grow my favorite 2 parents and 8 seedlings."? (going on memory.? I may be off a word or two.)?
