I have had good luck with Basagran for yellow nutgrass. Took two sprayings to work.
As an experiment in 2006 I soaked 2 clumps of average to better than average TBs. I soaked them very good 4 times. Most of the leaf tips turned brown and neither clump grew very much. The last spray was in mid-August. That fall new increases were showing and in 2007 both clumps had fans and look like no apparent damage. Bloom was not good and growth was some what smaller. No iris were killed, tortured maybe.
I would use it again and did in a new seedling bed. There was no damage and it only took one spraying. I tried to stay away from spraying the iris plants

Has anyone used Image to kill nut grass in iris beds? I have a couple of beds that are full of nut grass, so I really need to use something strong to get rid of it. However I would like to keep the irises, not kill them too.
