My understanding the person planting the seed is the hybridizer but source of seed if not produced by hybridizer is supposed to be note at time of registration Just like seeds from SIGNA :) Anita Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry -----Original Message----- From: "Mike Greenfield" <mgreenfield@cinci.rr.com> Date: Mon, 1 Feb 2010 20:40:34 To: <iris@hort.net> Subject: Re: [iris] HYB:Questions? I have seen where Loic has passed out many seeds. If someone were to introduce any iris from these seeds whom would be listed as the hybredizer? Loic made the cross. They have to do all the hard work growing and selecting the plant. Plus the expense of registering it and introducing it. Would this be much different from planting seeds from a bee pod, Loic being the Bee. I would love to see him in a big bee costume: Agree? Something to ponder in the cold weather.
