Yes, the name is right. It's a tall bearded plicata, introduced by
Schreiner's in 1965. I remember seeing its picture in their catalog
when I first got interested in irises in the late '70s--I thought it
looked great; although these days there are better varieties in the
same general color pattern. Schreiner's no longer sell it, but I'm
sure it was popular enough in its day that it can still be found in
some of the hobbyists' iris catalogs. I'll keep my eyes open and
let you know.
