Do you have any of the dwarf bearded species? I've been scouring the
Earth for three years try to track down Iris balkana and the tetraploid
Iris reichenbachii, with no success at all. Every time I find a source,
they write back saying "they haven't increased well...maybe in a few
years". Not that these have ever been commonplace in cultivation, but
15 years ago there were several nurseries that offered them routinely.

I tend to be that way too. I have such a small garden that I'm forced
to be a little selective, but I've never grown an iris that didn't
have some appeal, and that I couldn't imagine making a spot for, somewhere.
