|PS Tom - are you serious about scouring the _world_ for I. balkana & I.
|reichenbachii? I. reichenbachii features regularly on the AGS & SRGC
|seedlists. Probably NARGS too, but I'm not a member. You might find some
|of the seeds were balkana - I think they would be classified together (?)
A little hyperbole, perhaps, but I did write to some people in the UK.
What do AGS, SRGC, and NARGS stand for? As an ignorant American, I'm
not familiar with them. I have several times tried to get seeds through
seed exchanges (BIS and SIGNA), but they were all gone by the time they
got to filling my order. I'd prefer plants, if I can get them, not only
because it saves time, but because I don't much trust open-pollinated
bearded iris seed to be true to species.
|PPS NARGS seedlist is on the WWW.
Do you happen to know the URL?
Thanks, Ian -- and a hearty welcome to our list. It's great to have you
here!
