NARGS = North American Rock Garden Society
AGS = Alpine Garden Society
SRGC = Scottish Rock Garden Club
I mentioned them because their seedlists are about the best I know for
alpine plants, and Irises figure strongly on them. However, naming is only
as good as the naming on the packet they were submitted in....

It's http://www.mobot.org/NARGS/lintro.html
Tom, my humble apologies. My tongue was firmly in my cheek when I made my
comment about scouring the world. I should have used one of those smiley
things. Congratulations on getting the list up and running!

I would have to pass on this as I don't know I. uniflora at all. I was
really only offering a few scraps of information that might shed light on
whether it is truly in cultivation. I think it must be, but it sounds like
there are a number of impostors. HOWEVER, my trusty copy of Brian Mathew
suggests that the surefire diagnostic trait for the series in which I.
uniflora is placed (Ruthenicae) is actually the seed capsules and seeds.
I'm envious of you being able to hand out eight of these things!
