Cheryl, ROF = Rolling on floor, often combined with LOL = Laughing out loud.
LOL is apparently a response to something that is mildly amusing, while ROF
is a response to a comment that is very funny. When something is amusing
almost beyond endurance, the response seems to be ROFLOL. There are a few
other acronyms I have noticed which involve vulgarities or obscenities, ergo
