Re: introduction

Lowell: welcome to the Iris List or Chat or whatever. We're pretty new, but
picking up steam!

I just received Keith Keppel's catalog and was interested to see that he's
now getting acquainted 'up close and personal' with rot! Rot is a big
problem here (Buffalo, NY area) and I suspect that some of that can be
attributed to our moist climate. Keith uses alot of Blythe's material in his
crosses - and I have learned that those are particularly hard to grow
here....naturally, these are also the ones I lust after! WITCH'S WAND sent
me reeling the first time I saw it, and after melting 3 different plants, I
guess I have to accept that I can't grow it. I DO have WITCHING and it's
growing well so far....but I built a new garden - raised about 18" to 24"
with a steep slope, broken by large rocks here and there...that's where
WITCHING is perched and it seems happy.

So, welcome and I look forward to your postings.
