tb's and pH

john - i hear different stories about pH. some say always acid, some
neutral. i read somewhere that it depends on the variety, and some like it
a little basic. i have some iris growing around a huge pile of limestone
gravel - CUP RACE seems to think its wonderful there. i am interested in
hearing what others might say.
