Hello fellow Iris-fiends:

Greetings from the mid-Willamette Valley in Oregon where it is possible to
grow and bloom Iris nine months of the year. More on that in a later posting.

For now, I want to remind folks to make specific requests for lists,
catalogues, etc. directly to the person who holds the material that you
want. You will find their e-mail address in the header and you can cut and
paste it to a new message. When you send messages to Iris-L, they go to ALL
of the folk who have subscribed.

I am concerned because I do not want anyone to drop-out because they get too
many irrelevant messages. Some people are subscribed to other lists as well.
Imagine the volume of messages that it generates.

Likewise if you do have interesting observations, be sure to share these
with the whole group. By all means, if anyone needs help, this is
appropriate to post to the entire list- there are always lots of
enthusiastic people ready to lend a hand. We all go through a "learning
curve" to get into the cyberworld, so I do not want to make too big a deal
about this.

Happy Growing, Louise
