Iris lazica used to be a synonym for Iris unguicularis, specifically Iris
unguicularis var. lazica, but Brian Mathew (The Iris, p.131f) suggests it
should be considered a separate species. I imagine that your source is
refering to unguicularis, formerly known as stylosa.
