I particularly enjoyed the reference to "burnished dove". I have been
thinking about mourning doves a lot lately in relation to that quality I most
enjoy in some of the historic irises---iridescence."Burnished dove" is
exactly how I would describe one of my favorites, QUAKER LADY.
