I poked around in some books and Clive Innes cites Iris majoricensis Barcello
as a synonym for Iris albicans Lange. Brian Mathew says it is "possibly" a
synonym for albicans. Maybe this is a clue, although I don't know about the
hardiness limits for albicans in re Montana cold.
