AMBASSADEUR

Thanks to our resident historians, Clarence, Larry, & Mike, for the saga of
BLACK PRINCE.  

I realize that a similar mystery lies behind AMBASSADEUR.   That these two iris,
from different hybridizers, had the same diploid parent is a conjecture that
cannot be proved -- although Simonet presented some circumstantial evidence.

I'd like to hear the opinions of those who've studied that era more than I have
-- and I'm continuing on the LIST instead of taking this private because I think
others might like to hear it, as well.
