Dear Robins,
Lloyd is correct saying that it may be dangerous to use walnut sawdust
in the garden. Walnut trees contain a chemical called Jugalone, which
inhibits the growth of many plant species. Putting walnut shavings in the
garden would be the kiss of death for some plants. Also, I would not
recommend using sycamore leaves as mulch because they also exude
allelopathic compounds.
