All plants will perform better and have less disease problems if all
the Micronutrients are present in the soil in the optimum ranges of
concentration. However, the availability of those nutrients to the plants
depends on pH.
On the topic of Boron, this element was present in the soil in
Kentucky, but I still had leaf spot on some, but not all TB Irises there.
The severity of the problem appeared to be related to the weather.
