One last boring boron thought - alfalfa is one plant that apparently has
very high boron requirements. Presumably, concentrations in the foliage
are higher than in most plants. So maaaybe, part of the 'magic'
response to alfalfa pellets that some of us get (and others don't) is a
response to the extra available boron as the pellets rot, where it's in
short supply.
