Re: Latin Hideaway


No experience with this specific variety, but I have found that if
winter-green irises are grown "leaner" than usual (that is in poorer soil
with less water) they bloom much more abundantly.  Such varieties are
especially likely to put on a show the spring following a very dry summer.

Perhaps this treatment mimics the Mediterranean environment from which
their ancestor came.
