Although several people have placed old rhizomes/bloom stalks in sand to force
increase, there seems to be a commonly held belief that an iris, generally,
cannot both bloom and produce increase. Taking this as a given, wouldn't it
make sense that the rhizome that produces great increase may abort it's fans
thus leaving the impression of a frozen or blasted central fan?
