Hi all,
Not wanting to be too much of a wet blanket here, BUT, just because these
seeds are listed on the signa seed list, does that make them genuine species
crosses? I know that pretty much anyone can donate seeds to signa.
What record is there of anyone having crossed Dietes with Irises, and having
grown them on successfully? It seems to me there must be someone out there
who is having so much success with this cross, that they have seed to spare
to donate to signa.
Who could it be? Does anyone know? Does the Signa list give the country of
origin, and initials of donor, like the BIS list does?
Both Dietes and Pseudocorus self pollenate extremely easily. Could it be a
case of mistaken identity?
I'm really not being synical here, just asking the sort of questions I would
be asking, If I was thinking of growing these seeds myself.
Cheers, Jan Clark
