Here it is Jan.4th and we haven't had a hard freeze yet.   I brought in 8 
bloomstalks of Buckwheat this evening because it is supposed to get down to 
28 tonight.   We have had very balmy weather, but still almost no rain.   I'm 
watering once a week and would love to be able to quit!   Oh well, at least 
we have water, electricity, etc.   Our lights went out for about 5 minutes 
just after midnight on the first.   Someone shot a hole in a transformer
near us.   I guess he wanted to make sure the bad prediction came true.
