Mike we are all probably guilty of this at one time or another and most likely
the reason is we all just don't think about it.
We are members of the Tulsa Iris Society and there is a program coming up in
March and I did think about posting this information way back in November but
thought "who on Iris Talk is going to travel the distance to attend a program
in Tulsa?"
Since you posted this message I have thought about this and you are probably
right, I should not make the decision that, since in my opinion, people on Iris
Talk will most likely not attend therefore I should not post the information.
This is a wrong way to look at this and the information should be available for
every one to make this kind of decision for themselves.
Any way, I apologize to the group for not sharing the program information I
have. The following are programs or schools I currently have information for
the Tulsa Iris Society:
On March 9th, Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Tulsa at the Tulsa Garden Center Rick
Tasco will be presenting a program on Historic Iris.
On March 25th, same location (I don't have the time on this one yet), Hooker
Nichols will be presenting a Judging School (don't have topic).
On May 11th, Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Tulsa Garden Center, Mike Hargrove
from Wichita, Kansas will be presenting a program on Miniature Tall Bearded
Iris.
On July 13th, same time and location, Tom Dillard from Little Rock, Arkansas
will be presenting a program on Irises and Companion Planting.
On October 12th, same time and location, Bill Maryott from Freedom, California
will be presenting a program on Iris Hybridizing.
Well that's it unless some changes or additions are made. I am a little
surprised there is only one Judges Training School scheduled, there were two
last year. If an addition is made in this area I will post the change on the
list.
Probably most of us on the list either don't think about posting scheduled
programs or like me think no one will be willing to travel the distance to
attend one of the programs.
Anyway, all have a good day! :)
