It is a good standard work from the classic literature, not obscure, not
particularly distinguished, now quite dated especially as regards chemicals,
etc, but worth owning at a modest price if older irises interest you. It went
to a couple of editions and was reprinted in paperback by Dover. The latter
may still be in print. The price you mention is not egregiously out of line
although I have seen it in hardcover at lower prices. You may wish to compare
several available copies at http://www.addall.com.
