Hi, Ellen!

The wind chill factor is an index designed to express how cold it "feels"
to humans when wind is moving cold air masses around. It is my
understanding that plants only "feel" the actual thermometer temperatures,
and these are what we should consider when assessing plant cold tolerance.
However, if I were you I would not go outside to verify this right now!

It has warmed up here in the West as it has it cooled down there in the
East. Our meager six inches of snow cover is now down to anywhere from two
inches to zip and conditions are almost made to order for Botrytis to
flourish.
