Sandra; I think the important thing here is what you are comfortable with.
When you go to a 100mm or larger the Iris will fill your photo while you are
2 - 4 feet away from it, whereas the close up lense is what it sounds like,
the closer you get the more of the iris filling the photo.  I feel if you go
to a good camera shop they will let you look through several lenses and
leave the choice to you. For Artistic detail and good shots it will always
end up with what you are familiar with and can handle.   Bill
