Re: REB:Siberians &TBs

Hi Chris,

Sorry for the delayed response, I haven't been keeping up with
replies very well lately!

Unfortunately, prior to this past summer, I did not have any TB's which were
actually known to be re-bloomers. I have solved that issue,
though, as I did purchase a few - so I might have some reports for you after
this growing season. Same goes for SA's - I do have Thornbird now, and am
eagerly awaiting to see it's appendages! I have heard, however, that SA's do
not perform consistently from year to year. Is this the case, or another
'iris myth'?

The reason I'm asking is that we spotted an 8 acre farm which is higher in
the mountains, probably zone 3. I'm nervous about losing or not not being
able to grow certain cvs up there.

Have you had many once blooming TBs not survive in zone 3? AND if you grow
SA iris, have you noticed lack of appendages due to the cold.

Thanks
