Rosalie, you are not alone, but my ignorance does not bewilder me.
It is probably something out of Star Trek or Star Wars, science
fiction.
In the Sunday supplement magazines (Parade or USA Week-end), I
used to know all of the names in the birthday column. Now, when I
see a name like Puff Daddy, Moon Unit Zappa, or Dweezil Zappa, I just
grin and am thankful I do not know these people! It's these modern
times!!
I put 2259 and the Babylon 5 thing in the category of the current
names in the birthday column - something (somebody) I am glad I
missed. But, to each his own. I'll listen to Orphan Annie and play
with my secret decoder rings! I'll listen to CD's by Sara, Maybelle
and A. P. and enjoy the known.
