I believe I am the equivalent to a zone 9 here.
We get good late autumn, and early spring growth, so it is not unusual to
get seedlings flowering 15 months or so after germination. Some precocious
individuals start even earlier. My autumn germinated seedlings from 1999 are
looking so radiantly healthy (in large tubs of 2 -4 together) that I would
not be at all surprised to see bloom on a few in Autumn this year. Maybe
that's just wishful thinking?
Cheers, Jan Clark
