HI all,
   On my recent trip to see my parents I accompanied my Mom to her garden 
club meeting.   They meet in a building that used to be a schoolhouse and 
it's incredibly old although I don't remember how old.
I mentioned to many I met about my iris "hobby" (read: obsession) and so many 
were surprised to hear about rebloomers, space agers, etc.   In fact,
several were put off by the fact that they have to be divided every three or 
so years...and yet at least one lady was a rose enthusiast, and in comparison 
I think roses take  so much more attention.
    Anyway, several people encouraged me to work up some presentation on 
irises so they could widen their horizons.   I'm sure someone here has done a 
basic "welcome to the world of irises" type presentation.   If you have, 
would you e-mail me privately with some pointers?   TIA for help...
