Re: OT-CHAT: wild flower seeds

Dennis, how wonderful! I have wildflowers among my irises and in my garden.
And what is more amazing, in spite of my temerity, Ihad the courage to
find the website, and I'm ordering the catalog, even tho I prefer plants to
seeds. It seems I am always out of town at the time seedlings need help!
I have belonged to the Wildflower Assoc. for years, and when I attended the
fall board meeting of AIS one year in Austin, TX, I tried to visit the
Wildflower Gardens named after Mrs. Johnson -- And you might think I was
trying to get into Ft. Knox! No transportation, limited hours and days- this
was/is the capital of the state and there were no tours for the area! Claire
Barr and I finally hired a taxi to take us around. I must say, the driver
was excellent and we had a wonderful tour, but I thought it pretty shabby
there only tours that started elsewhere and Austin was just a stop along the
way! And they have a most interesting capitol
Enuf of that soapbox! But thank you for alerting us to the NEWFS! Rosalie nr
Baltimore zone 7 which is coming out of the deep freeze at last!
