I've just finished collecting up my bearded iris seed pods for the season, and have noticed a very high take rate with pollen from Dodge City. This flowered for me this year for the first time and I decided to use it for a number of reasons, rebloom tendancy, red beards, fantastic growth habits and it's interesting colour mix. I've acheived pollination on a number of varieties I've never had much luck with before. One is Hostess Royale (Blyth) a beautiful late apricot. This year I got takes with Spring Tidings (another newie for me), which is well know for , as Barry Blyth puts it "would set seed on a gate post" as well as Dodge City.
What I'd like to know is, what are Dodge City's offspring like? Has anyone else used it?
Thanks

It hit 41oC here in the hills today and 43o (110F) in the city. Maybe hotter tomorrow
