I dunno, maybe that's why we call them amoenas. Lack of anything
else to call them.
Barry Blythe's work combining this pattern with other bicolors
creates some intriguing potentials for previously unseen
combinations. I envision a velvety brown "umbata" amoena with a
tangerine beard and purple horn. If there ever is such a thing it
will have Blythe ancestry, for sure.
