AIS:Ideas for meetings

Hello all,
We are going to have a hands on hybridizing meeting where various hybridizers in our society(San Diego)take one or two people and actually teach them how it's done. When the seed pods are ripe ,they will be given to the person who crossed it.(We don't mind "babysitting their pods) We had this meeting last year and it was lots of fun watching everyone trying their hands at hybridizing. The only drawback was the temperature, it was 90 degrees so we did not have very good pollination. We are repeating this same meeting and if it is going to be hot , we will have the clinic earlier.(this meeting is held at a members garden )
Demonstration : How to transplant your seedlings
Alot of people are afraid to disturb a seedling , I know I was. Now that we have done it several times and know that the little guys are like cast iron,we want to share this info. This will be done at the same meeting ,hopefully. I intend to pass a seedling around so that people can feel the "plastic" roots.
Mixing your own fertilizer:
My husband Ken will demonstrate how to custom mix your own fertilizer .
Hope this gives you some ideas for a meeting.
