CULT: forcing MDB or SDB iris for show

Hello Iris friends;
I have received a request for the following information/comments and perhaps
a small donation of plants.
The PLANTASIA Flower Show (March 22 to 26) Buffalo, NY is hoping to have an
iris bloom display during the show. The coordinator of the iris display
needs our help and advice with the following:

1) guidelines for forcing growing/rooted iris to bloom for a flower show
from anyone who has had experience in this area.

1.a -- potting soil recommendations?
1.b -- light/heat recommendations?
1.c -- timing?

2) donation of I. pallida, MDB's or SDB's (or purchase if necessary)
probably best supplied from a much warmer climate zone than Buffalo, NY. At
this late date, for the best chance of success, perhaps the iris should come
from a zone whose normal bloom time for these iris is around March 22-26
(same time as this indoor flower show).

Many thanks. I will forward any info to the interested party. Anyone who
want to donate iris for this should probably be within the USA so as to keep
the shipping simple and any associated costs down. You may contact me
privately on this for iris donations but it would probably be informative
and interesting for all if the cultural recommendations/discussion was kept
on the list.
