       When I moved down here, I brought some Japanese and Siberian Irises.  
  However, they had to go back north.  It would be a waste of plants to try 
  them in Lake Placid.  
       What I would recommend would be Walking Irises [Neomarica] and Tiger Eye 
  Irises [Trimezia] for down there.
