The sun will finally start setting here noticeably earlier today. Most
years, it sets about the same time beginning about Dec 8, then is more
or less 'stuck' there as days get shorter (sun coming up later) until
the solstice. After the solstice, days start getting a little longer,
but the sun is still setting about the same time, until today. Hooray!
Plant something. Celebrate the new year.
