Well Sandy, we had a wonderful day here in Texas with a high of 70 f.
Unfortunately,
that isn't going to last.   By Friday, our high will be about 45 and lows
about freezing, which is more usual for Jan.                  Pat in Dallas

I have never connected the word "winter" with "Texas" or "Mississippi".
Northern California maybe (latitude 42:).

What's a 'really cold winter coat' in SC?
