LA:Planting

Well folks, this post is really about iris.
I was so pleased with myself when I got all my potted irises planted in a
timely way last Sept.    Then in Dec. Hooker Nichols asked me if I had room
for 25 LA iris.   I told him yes, but the location I had left was my vegetable
garden.   He said that that would be fine.
Then he brought me 40 potted LAs to plant.   It seems that he had a deal with
the city of Farmers Branch to plant these irises in their historical park for
the LA society's '04 convention here, but they didn't ever get around to
digging the bed.   So, I have been very busy planting LA irises.   By some
miracle I found room for all of them.   So, it looks like I am going to be on
the LA iris tour at their convention time.   Yall come.
