Betty, a few years ago I checked them (or something similar) out through
an ag supply source.  At that time and based on that source, we felt
there were some concerns. Depending on the type and density of the soil
mixure to fill them, they would have a problem of bowing out in the
center of the runs where they weren't staked. Again, when in full sun and
filled with planting mix (expecially soil mix) and water and/or heat
soaked, they may not retain a good shape or stay together. I felt that if
I had to stake them with rebar or something to keep the sides from bowing
out it negated the expense and appeal of the nice white lines. Maybe they
are way advanced and improved now too. Hope that is helpful. I did use a
couple of alternatives that have worked better for me if you are
interested let me know. Good luck and if you do try them let us know.
