Historical tidbit:
Iris-L began on Feb 2, 1996, with 4 subscribers in the first 3 hrs, 18
subscribers by the next day. I joined on Feb 11, Ellen G. Feb 26, Chris
H. Feb 19, Dorothy S. Feb. 6, Gerry S. Feb. 6, Lowell B. Feb. 13,
Charlie Brown Feb. 15, Rodney B. Feb.19, Jim Wilson Feb. 2 - folks who
are still 'talking', at least occasionally.
The archives became available on Mar 13, by which time there were 100
subscribers.
Donald, you arrived about a year later, by which time these were the
stats:
<more [than] 10,400 messages have been posted to this list! We have 227
subscribers in 11 countries (US 207; Canada 8; UK 3; New Zealand 2;
South Africa, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, and
Australia 1 each).>
It was <supposed> to be sunny and above freezing today - they lied
