Hi all,
for those of you who remember me from before I entered deep
lurk mode (I used to post under my maiden name of Ann Pearce), or who have
met me at the Friday night chats (where I use the alias Jacaranda), I would
like to make the following announcement:
On Sunday 19th January, at 11:37pm, Murray and I became parents. Our
little boy is called James Stephen Head, and was born weighing 4215g, or
9lb 4.5oz. He measures 54 cm head to toe.
As the hybridizers among us know, there are always surprises. In this
case, James was born with a cleft lip and palate. Although this presents
some challenges in regards to feeding, etc., many of the problems can be
fixed by early surgery, and he is otherwise very healthy, so we are
thrilled with our little boy.
Just wanted to let you all know.
